Originally identified by 26S rDNA partial sequencing and was isolated in beer from Adelaide, Australia. This species displays strong fruity esters, moderate barnyard and gradual acidity over time. Name of Alternate State or Synonym: Dekkera anomala, Brettanomyces intermedius.
