Briess Carapils is a Dextrin Malt that, as the name implies, contains a lot of long-chained unfermentable sugars (called dextin).
In the United States Briess owns the Carapils trademark, while in other markets Weyermann owns the name.
Carapils increases foam, helps head retention and enhances mouthfeel without adding flavour.
Devoid of enzymes, can be steeped in hot water or mashed.
